KZK Records is releasing  “Requiem for Utopia”, the latest music work from Joaquin Berrios.
The Album, is a conceptual piece that’ll take you to a dimension full of characters with explosive and contrasting rhythms. The composer ponder on the downfalls of modern society and the need for a new Utopia…Humankind aspirations for  a better and more just society.
“The name of the album, is a reflection of the times. It’s the end of an era and the beginning of a new one”, Berrios explains.
Musically Inspired, according to the composer, by classical masters Igor Stravinsky and Maurice Ravel, the album features Piano as the main instrument…something that we haven’t heard from Berrios since early works, like the “Big Bang Boom”, conceptual piece from 1991.
With the exception of the exceptional Phoenix Rivera on Drums, the music was performed entirely by the composer. A myriad of voices, guitars, bass and pianos, brilliantly arranged and executed for a unique musical experience.
We highly recommend that you take the time to listen to this outstanding piece of work!
